New Year, New Beauty Routine? Tips to Help You Start the Year

Maybe you’re ready to cut back on your sugar intake, or perhaps you’re looking to start going to the gym regularly. Maybe you want to be more conscious of what you buy or make sure that it’s cruelty-free. Whatever your goal is, there are plenty of ways to stay motivated and keep it up over the long term—and that’s where beauty comes in!

It can seem like a lot of work to keep up with a new routine when you’re starting from nothing. We’re so excited about what this year has in store for us. And we want to make sure that you’re ready to take your health and beauty routine to the next level. So we’ve put together a list of tips to help you start off fresh from head to toe.

Set a goal for yourself.

Are you going to try something new? Or are you going to stick with what works for you? Either way, it’s good to know what you’re aiming for as a way of keeping yourself on track.


Clear out your stash.

It’s time for some spring cleaning! Take an hour or two and go through your bathroom cabinets and see what’s taking up space or no longer serves any purpose in your life. Get rid of anything old, expired, or unused—you’ll feel lighter once it’s gone!

Get a good sleep every night.

This is an easy way to keep your skin healthy and glowing. Your body needs time to rest and repair itself while you sleep, so make sure that you get at least seven hours of solid sleep every night.

Eating well helps you stay healthy in general, but it also has great benefits for your skin! Fill up on fruits and veggies for antioxidants, which are known for their ability to protect against free radicals that can damage cells in your body.

Whether you choose to start fresh after the New Year, or whenever the mood strikes you, remember that it’s never too late to kick bad beauty habits to the curb.
