Honestly it depends. It’s respect that is critical from all parties. If everybody understands their place and is focused on the wellbeing of the different factions of family, it will work

it’s because most women don’t like raising other women’s kids on the other hand men don’t mind raising other men’s kids so long as he loves you even if the father of the child is involved, even women with kids don’t want men with kids🤦.

Yes it is because the women with children make it easier and most times the biological fathers are deadbeat or dead. Unlike men who just casually have baby mamas, show preferences and expect so much from the women they are with.

Hmmm… some are painting first wives and baby mamas so badly, these women are forgetting that that there is history, some of which may have been caused by the man or his people. I know someone whose marriage ended suddenly after 2 children. The youngest was 8months old. His family accused her of being in a cult. He doesn’t care for the kids at all. He didn’t communicate for years, eventually, he asked for a divorce, she let him go. In all their lives he paid school fees for only 2 terms. He used to visit after the divorce, stopped after he remarried. Doesn’t care for the children at all. The new wife will be thinking she is favoured after what his family would have conjured, but the first wife doesn’t care. She has a good job. She is a superb mom, and her concern is that the new wife may harm her kids so she doesn’t even care that the man doesn’t visit. Not every first wife or baby mama is dramatic. Some have great lives and know that the new wife is the one managing a loss.

Because women are operating from a scarcity mindset, in some cases “oh I am lucky to have found a man willing to accept me and my child”, hence the attitude adjustment and appreciation is there, most men don’t think that way. They don’t see having a child a minus for them, “if you don’t do it someone else will” . A baby daddy also won’t compete with your new husband, a baby mama would almost likely operate from a place of bitterness or jealousy.

So alot of it is presentation on both ends, like Yorubas would say “bi onigba ba se pe igba e, ni won ma ba pe”

My thoughts too… And as a women I think we should do better… Becos d men r accepting our kids wholeheartedly, y can’t we do the same wit theirs?… Of cos it’s not easy, but we can try like d men r trying

My step fathers attitude would never let me pray for my enemy to see reasons to marry a man twice either death or separation,d man is a dead beat step father to me and a living corpse to his son

Its harder for the woman to be married to someone who already has a child bcos the baby mamas hardly ever backs down. They are mostly wicked and majority of them don’t want their child growing to love the dad’s wife, which is why the child starts misbehaving when they are older due to the birth mum’s influence. Unless the birth mum is dead, this is sadly the reality most at times

I think it’s because the men automatically see the new woman as a nanny and the woman begins to walk on eggshells to prevent him or people from viewing her as a bad person. This then becomes too much for her.

This is because women can keep the balance more than men.
Men will throw it in your face that they have kids and will put them first all the time. Men can’t keep the balance when they have kids with another woman.
