The south side queen Tacha Akide was a former housemate of the 2019 big brother Naija reality tv show. Unfortunately, her participation in the show was short-lived after a physical altercation with another female housemate (Mercy Eke).

Tacha’s disdainful fall from one of the biggest star-making platforms in Nigeria made a deafening echo throughout the nation. If there was a lone man living in some isolated cave with no cable or electricity in Nigeria, trust me he must have heard about Tacha’s disqualification from BBN season 4 somehow. It was that loud.

While we have no idea how she herself must have felt in that moment, we knew for sure that majority of the folks were as pleased as Punch to see her leave the show.

You would assume the battle was over for Miss Tacha Akide since she was already disqualified from the show, but Alas! We’re only just getting started. Media houses and online trolls didn’t waste any time before making her into the scape goat of the season. The larger population tried to bully her and that includes those that didn’t even watch the show for a second. To this end, an artiste who had probably never met Tacha prior to this time made a song about her having body odor.

It did seem like doom had come for her influencing career, her journey to stardom and everything in between. But to the dismay of skeptics and a major bragging right for her fans, Tacha refused to back down on pursuing her goals.

Today, she is one of the biggest influencers in Africa, after becoming becoming an ambassador for top brands like Oppo, Patricia, Getfit, house of Lunnette and influencing for a lot more. In addition to this, she has 3 active businesses to her name: A logistics company, an urban clothing line(NLNT89) and another e-market store that sells all forma of trending household items. That is not all, the 27 years old is planting her feet firmly in passive income too, she is quickly becoming a major go-to crypto and NFT person.

Three years later, the port-Harcourt first daughter remains one of the most successful people from the pepper dem season. As of April 2022, Creebhills, naming Forbes as their source estimated Tacha’s networth to be $300,000. This includes her streams of properties, cars and liquidated assets. And we know she’s not stopping there, not now, not ever. Safe to say Tacha Akide is out to build a business empire.
