Beautiful, magical, glamorous, are the best words to describe our celebrity bride, Nollywood superstar and leading lady in Netflix’s Original Series, Blood Sisters, Ini Dima-Okojie’s surprise Moroccan themed bridal shower; organised by her closest friends, alongside luxury champagne brand Moët and Chandon yesterday at Victoria Island, Lagos!!
This intimate celebration with Ini’s close friends comes just a few days after the actress’ elaborate traditional wedding to Abasi Ene-Obong, a scientist and founder of 54Gene. See photos and other awwning moments from the traditional wedding here.
And whilst we are just getting over the beautiful wedding that had us captivated from the display of culture and all round vibes, ladies and gents— the bridal party! We really can’t get enough of #AChocolateLoveStory!
Ini’s Moroccan themed bridal shower took place at the event space, Workbox in Victoria Island, Lagos and as usual with the stylish bride, she showed up in a stunning short, white number and veil made by Derin Fabikun Co.
Celebrity guests such as Waje, Sharon Ooja, Nancy Isime, Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman, Osas Ighodaro and more showed up in their best Arabian attire and as we can see, Ini was surrounded by the most stylish groups of friends.
Moët & Chandon has created magical moments for more than 270 years, toasting the most glamorous of royal weddings in history and delighting couples and their guests worldwide with grand gestures in the celebration of love. The brand made the lavish bridal shower even more spectacular with their perfect touch of glamor and exquisite drinks.
Ini Dima-Okojie’s bridal shower was fun filled with lots of bridal games played, guests danced the night away, and gave gifts to the bride. There was also an enlightening and jovial sex educuation session led by the infamous expert Olori Coitus.
While the event was extremely lively and entertaining, it was also an emotional one as friends shared loving memories of sisterhood with the bride. They also cheered Ini on as she embarks on the journey of marital bliss.
One of Ini’s closest friends Jola expressed her wishes saying “Ini you are the most beautiful bride and I can already tell you are going to be an awesome awesome wife to Abasi. Wishing you a lifetime of joy, wealth, abundance, peace and fruitfulness.’’
The bride was the happiest we’ve ever seen as she grinned from ear to ear the entire evening. In her appreciation remarks, she said “I am truly blessed to have the most amazing friends in the world. You all mean a lot to me and I can’t believe you surprised me with this lovely shower. I love you so much and can’t wait to celebrate special moments with you for life!”
We highly anticipate more blissful moments from the grand finale of Ini Dima-Okojie and Abasi Ene’Obong’s nuptials, which is the white wedding ceremony – coming soon and we sure are excited!
