It all started after cooking and devouring poundo with vegetables on a Saturday afternoon . Then I had this pain in my lower abdomen which I’m not so sure if it was labor as I’m a first time mum. Though baby was supposed to be 40 weeks the next day and doctor already said I would be induced if nothing happened before the weekend. I observed my 4pm prayer and the pain was still there. We had to call the doctor to be be very sure and he told us to come to the hospital immediately. We discovered that I was already 7cm dilated and we had to wait for some hours and I was already getting scared so the doctor had to tear me for easy passage, low and behold, baby weighed 4.5kg and everyone was wowed and kept on praising my pain threshold.

I thank God for an easy delivery
I started feeling intense contractions a night before,I told my husband about it but I was a bit calm relaying how I felt to him
He insisted that we call the doctor and go to the hospital (this was around 1am),I objected telling him that the pain wasn’t that bad

Fast forward to the morning,he was already panicking because I was literally in pains all through the night
I was really calm actually,all I wanted to do was sleep and have the baby out of me 😅
He didn’t even want me to have my bath but I insisted,while bathing my mucus plug dropped out (it was then I realized that “its about to go down 🎵) 🤣

I told him about it and we left the house with him being half patient and rushing me at the same time,it was a really funny day because he was being so dramatic 😅

On our way to the hospital,there was a bit of traffic and I was falling asleep
He called my mum and his and they told him not to allow me sleep,according to them;it wasn’t a good idea but ….all I wanted to do was sleep like a baby and get the baby out of me

To cut the long story short,we got to the hospital
I refused letting anyone help me or hold me because I didn’t want to be seen as helpless which irritated my husband 😅 (he still talks about it till date)

While I was in the labour room with a few other women who were also having contractions at the time,I slept off
I just wanted to sleep actually 😅,I didn’t eat or nothing – just sleep

The nurse was notified by one of the women that I was sleeping,she came around and asked how I was and called me in for my cm to be checked; lo and behold,my baby was real close (all these while,my husband had rushed out to get food and fruits for me)

I got into the delivery room,called my husband that I was in and he should hurry back

The nurse and matron were going back and forth with me,checking the cm (which I found really painful),called the doctor and they said to me that it was time 😅

I got into the delivery room,still calling my husband to hurry (he said there was a bit of traffic)

Within minutes after I got the drip line,I felt my baby’s head push out and screamed for the doctor

They rushed in (doctor,matron and nurse),had me spread my legs and told me to PUSH ! (I screamed JESUS)
In like 5-15 minutes,my baby was out
The relief I felt afterwards especially when the placenta came out after is one for the books

I called my husband immediately the baby came out,while they were reaching for the placenta – he didn’t believe what I told him till he got there

I’ll stop here
This is already so lengthy 😅

Its a story I’ll never get tired of telling,it was too sweet – all thanks to God

My second son, I was induce and the nurses where coming to check the cm, when the doctor came to check his own, he said i am 7cm so I and my husband was just discussing with the doctor only for him to shout madam see your baby’s head, before he could call the nurse for them to wheel me to the labour room my baby came out. So easy and smooth.

Alright so I saw the mucus plug since Friday then went to the hospital for checkup and I was informed that all is fine and if I notice anything I should return to the hospital. I’m like alright well EDD is still far away. So Monday which happened to be a public holiday I was in the salon making my hair and doing a video call with some of my friends who went for an event (was supposed to attend but due to situation on ground as jokingly said “make I no go born for road 😄” I couldn’t). While making my hair I was feeling uncomfortable like a mild menstrual cramps, it was coming and going. I thought perhaps because I was sitting too long, then stoned I will standup and continue with the hair. Still it didn’t occur to me that I was already in labour. By evening around 7pm, the cramps was becoming too much and I didn’t want to give the hair stylist the impression that was having cramps (by this time I knew that I was experiencing labor ) but then pain was still bearable.

So I requested to stand till I’m done making the hair (Thank God we were done and it was only trimming that was left). Immediately I dashed home after hair was done and told hubby that “ babe it’s like baby is coming o”
He said okay that just for us to be sure we should time the pain frequency (when pain starts , how long it takes to stop and next cycle of pain) by this time it was already 3mins apart. Thank God my hospital bag was already packed. So what I quickly picked was my purse and off we went to the hospital. Got to the hospital around past 9pm. The person at the desk knew I was already in labour and took me straight to the doctor. Doctor said if I wasn’t dilating well I will have to go back home. In my mind, I said you and who. This one that I’ve arrived, I will leave with my baby. Thankfully I was at 6cm and was taken to the labor room. All these while pain was coming and going steadily. I was telling hubby that , chai going into labour naturally is sweet o and bearable .

In the labour room I was given a drip and injection.Think drip was oxytocin cause this time the pain increased in trifold. I was sucking in air and hitting the wall like it offended me. the nurse came to check them said I was 8cm. I said okay, we are almost there but omo the pain no be here o. I tried as much as possible not to scream so that I have can energy when it’s time to push. I told them I want to urinate. They said no I shouldn’t standup and they passed the pee bag to my UT. After this I told the nurse to come check cause I was already feeling the urge to push. She came and said I was at 9cm. I’m like are you sure cause it seems I’m 10cm already o. They begged me not to push yet (in my mind “okay o when baby come out una go know). Some few mins later the nurse checked and said I was okay to pu- before the -sh came out of her mouth, baby’s head was already out . On second/third push whole baby was out which was around 11:55pm. (Time of arrival at the hospital was 9:24pm)

My labor lasted just 45 minutes…. My baby came out after the 2nd push. My hubby said she was so eager to come to the world😂 I didn’t scream or shout during contractions either, just kept whispering ‘JESUS’. My Doctor even commended me…. they were worried I won’t have a high threshold for pain because I’m a very slim person, and it was my first time. In all, I’m grateful to God for making it very easy🙏

So it was my first pregnancy and I was surrounded by negative stories about first pregnancies. I wanted mine to be different so I read child birth stories that were positive and I kept affirming positively. I had gestational diabetes. To cut the story short, my contractions started on a Saturday and on Sunday morning I packed my bags to the hospital, I was 4cm dilated when I reached the hospital by 5am in the morning. By 8am I gave birth to my princess. No complications, it was really easy, though painful, but it was simple. God is the greatest.

I don’t know if mine qualifies but I didn’t feel any pain. I had passed 40 weeks and at 41 weeks, baby wasn’t coming so I had to be scheduled to be induced. We went to the hospital on Wednesday and was induced at 11pm. I was progressing with no pain. At about 10 am, I was wheeled to delivery room and they kept monitoring me, no pain, no labor. The doctor suggested CS, I obliged sharp sharp cos I no kuku get strength to push before and I really hoped to use CS even before I got married. I was given an epidural cos we paid for it, whether vaginal or CS. In less than 10 minutes, they brought out my baby. Recovery after the CS was quite easy. There was too much love and help from my family and in-laws so I didn’t feel jack.

I didn’t feel any pain, then I would pretend I was feeling pains anytime I see the nurses, I was induced too, yet no pain, then the doctor increased the dosage, I was only pressed like I want to poop but wasn’t coming.and again I was sleeping while the baby was coming out, and the nurse shouted at me to wake up! Then the next thing is that they just put the baby on my chest, it annoys me that I couldn’t enjoy the moment well,I guess I was sedated, I was sleepy but the stitching part pained me oo.

1st baby: I arrived Hospital at 9am, baby was out at 1.29pm
2nd baby: I arrived Hospital few mins past 8pm, baby was out at 11.35pm
3rd baby: I arrived the hospital few mins before 2am, baby was out at 4.04am.

My first was easy, so easy I decided another wouldn’t be a bad idea 😂. His pregnancy, labour and delivery. The nurses kept checking to make sure I was indeed in labour. I didn’t scream or any of those things. Just whispering oohs and aaahs when the contractions came. I needed constant back runs when they came too but nothing unbearable. I kept thinking “this isn’t so bad, we women have just be exaggerating about delivery pains and birth pangs” not realising at that moment that God was just favouring me. The matron in charge said in all her years as a midwife, mine was the easiest she had seen. She said only northern women gave birth the way I did. Especially considering that he was my first. But to be honest, it was almost perfect until The devil tried when I was delivering, and my baby got stuck in my pelvis. The matron panicked and did an emergency episiotomy without using anaesthetic. The unexpected pain was so intense, I think I lost my sight for a minute or two.

The matron apologised repeatedly and confessed that she panicked because my baby had been stuck for a while and she didn’t want us to lose him. But like I said, just the Devil playing tricks. I forgot as soon as I saw my baby. He was perfect 😍. I just want to emphasise the importance of Prayer and bonding with your baby in pregnancy. It works wonders. Nothing is too small or irrelevant to pray about. Your baby’s looks, your delivery, the labour, the staff on duty that day, baby’s health, temperament, feeding habits, sleep pattern

It was my 1st.I went in for my antenatal, dint even pack my bag.i just felt some tingling pain in the evening that I told my gynae..
He asked to check me out and told me I was going to give birth soon.i had to ask him to tell me in how many hrs..
Doctor howfar nah,give birth asin how nah..he said I was like 2cm gone,before I knew it nurse’s were taking me to the ward..Ok seems like this is getting real..I was just checking out the time to see if the doctor that told me in like 8hrs I wld meet my baby was saying the truth..
The real contraction happened like 1hr before I gave birth,wasn’t too painful tho..Even the nurses had to collect query because my baby was too eager to come out..
I dint Push at all before she came out.The nurse had to tell me not to push because her head was already out..They called her birth*SVP*or something like that..I just felt the placenta when it came out..All I kept saying was just Alhamdulilahi ..Pregnancy and Delivery was smooth..

I had home birth for my 2 kids. My MIL took the delivery, it was planned, she’s an ex-matron.
I have a great threshold for pain, so my labour was smooth.
You won’t know I’m in labour, even I’d you’re in the house.
We had a guest 2hours before delivery of my second. But she never knew, as I was in the room. I don’t make any sounds, I just hold ok the something during contractions and release after.
For birthing, after 2 pushes, the baby is out.

So it was my first pregnancy and I was waiting for water to break like Nigerian film😂😂 and it didn’t till 40 weeks 5 days.
I was having stomach cramps like I was on my period and I woke my partner and he said it labor and I told him water didn’t break,we just went to the hospital to complain and the nurse saw me and said your due and I reply my water hasn’t broken and everyone laughed,the doctor came and I was 8m away and that was it
Gone to labor room by 10am finish by 11:30am.I wasn’t contracting and I took like 4 injections and the baby was here 4:5kg,a boy

I left the house that morning with hubby to do amebo visitation. By past 2pm I couldn’t tolerate the quick pain I was having. Oga was so scared that we went to one nearby clinic to do quick check.
Gbam, that’s how they said madam is on her way o. Ahhh, shey we can still go to my registered hospital like this?
I was already 4cm dilated, so we decided to stay but one part of my mind was alittle scared cos they don’t have my history.
8:51pm, my princess came. Glory to God, no complications.

My deliveries keep getting easier..
For Number 1: I went for routine antenatal & the ob/gyn decided to check me as I was due, lo & behold I was 6cm dilated, but absolutely no contractions so I was induced & 8 hrs later..my baby arrived
For Baby 2, I arrived the hospital by 8am, baby came by 10:15, for Baby 3, I was in the hospital by 7:00am & by 7:30am baby arrived.
I always have my Supernatural childbirth book with me throughout my pregnancy & even labour..I have never had any pain relief & I practise positive confession, I focus on the good stories about labour & childbirth.
I had an episiotomy for my 1st & I decided it was gonna be the last time, I would be cut & it happened just as I said.
When I was in labour for my 1st, an Aunt told me not to say “I am tired” and to speak to my baby..it really works. Infact for my 1st I drove myself home 2 days later.
Growing up in the North, we were trained not to scream or shout during labour, it actually saves your energy to push…

Contractions started around 11pm on Wednesday and I managed through till 6am on Thursday to get to the hospital at 5cm. Contractions weren’t so bad and I also handled it well… Gave birth before 8:44am… Felt 65% cool for a FTM asides the episiotomy stitches

My pregnancy was easy and smooth.Felt mild menstrual cramps by 2am n went to the hospital
I was 3cm
Slept till 8am cos pain had increased a bit n gave birth by 2:41pm
It was my first and he weighed 3.2kg
Doctor gave me episiotomy cos he said I was too tight for baby to pass through

I will give account of my last pregnancy because it is one of the testimonies am yet to give. During the course of my pregnancy I had severe pelvic girdle pain I couldn’t go down stairs, I couldn’t turn to my sides while sleeping and after any long walk i had serious pains that left me shaking in pain. I was so scared of giving pain that i started a have bad thought, I honestly thought i would not survive the labour pains and the pelvic pain together. So on that day i kept having tickling movement in my waist and I found out I could move around with much ease. So about 9 pm after while coming back from church i kept feeling like there was a big nylon of water in my private and I was having light cramps. So I went ahead to the hospital while my hubby went home for the baby bag, I got to @ 9.30

And I was already 6cm then, so i was given an estimated time of 2 am the next day to give birth. I with faith and no serious cramps yet told the nurse that i would be out of the labour room with my baby by 10.30 pm and at exactly 10.10 pm my Ifechukwu came out weighing 4kg

I was very restless a before I gave birth … wasn’t even close to due date … I stood up from the bed about 6am ,next thing my water broke … had to get myself to the hospital cos hubby was at work …. When I got to the hospital they asked me lie down to check how wide I was … doctor said 2cm that I should relax … about 8am it felt like I want to poo so I started shouting I want to pupu 😂🤣😂😂😂 next minute baby came out…. By the time my husband and mum got to the hospital baby was already dressed 😆

My second and third baby was a miracle, I gave birth to my second baby standing on the hospital corridor, was heading to the labour room when it happened and the pain wasn’t that serious. The third one I drove myself to the hospital and was told I was 6cm already, so the doctor had to break my water and in less than 30mins I pushed my baby out. They didn’t even see it coming, the nurses was like I should wait but I couldn’t. It’s just the grace of God.

It was easy for me. I thank God . My due date was supposed to be on saturday but I got back from work on Monday and decided to stroll around my estate with my husband, I had I show that night ! I got the hospital around 11:30pm. The doctor said I was just 2cm . Then I went back home. The next morning the show was still on I had to drive the hospital . The doctor said I will give birth that day . With time the labour started . Before I could jump to the bed the nurses were begging me not to push! Immediately I laid down my baby poped 💃🏻. It was really amazing and I thank God🙏

My 2nd delivery was smooth and stress free. I went in to be induced about four nights before my actual due date, I was tired and also didn’t want him getting too big. He was already 3.7kg at the last scan.
I asked that c***tec be used for the induction instead of Oxyt***n that was used for my 1st (super painful).
Anyway, I labored from that night till morning, the contractions were bearable. I was mostly grunting and holding the bed. Then the nurse came in morning, asked if I wanted to take a shower and I said yes. The water was really hot, immediately I came out of the bathroom, my mucus plug fell out and he was ready to pop out all of a sudden. I had to be ushered quickly into the delivery room next door and I think he came out on the 3rd push. The hot bath really moved things along.
The birth didn’t leave me as weak as the first one did.

My water broke 4:30am, got to the hospital 5:30am. I gave birth at 8:25am without pushing or anything. Baby came out stress free

I had a very easy delivery. I went from 2cm to 10cm in 40 minutes and the nurses were in shock. I didn’t even have any tear while pushing. And it’s my first baby

I was eating noodles with my brother-in-law around 10pm when my contractions started,it started as mild cramps. I wanted to wait it out and I didn’t want to scare him so I waited for him to sleep before going to our room to call hubby.At 1am,the contractions became close and more intense so we left to the hospital. When we got there I was already 6cm dilated.. I really can’t remember what happened but I know I squeezed the life out of my husband’s hands with each contraction, he even said I slept in between😂😂..My princess came 6:10am with no epidural.

I went into labour at 8am, did a 2 hour drive to the hospital. Dr checked and I was 5cm, I was given an epidural. Watched the whole Bridgerton season 2 and pushed out my twins a few hours later. Drove back home the next morning.

Got to the hospital around 8am. I was asked to sit at the reception until a doctor attended to me and told me I wasn’t in labor. Maybe because I wasn’t rolling on the floor or crying for help. I was even on Instagram sef checking updates🤣. After 30 minutes, contractions became somehow. I had to tell another doc to please check me. He then told me I was in labor. I moved to the maternity ward and was told to lie on the bed. I was on the bed sleeping when this strong contraction came. My mom had to call a nurse to come check me. I was moved into the labor room. I walked in there with my two legs. Laid on the bed and then boom, baby came. I was amazed. Thankful because, God made it so easy. This is my first child.

Labour was so easy,I even had strength to iron the dress I was to wear to the hospital. I even told my mum to prepare breakfast so I could have a nice meal before we left. Herself and my husband didn’t believe I was in labour so much so that she didn’t pack her items to follow me to the hospital,she thought I was going to be sent back on account of having false labour 😆. I was 5cm dilated when we arrived,even the nurses thought I was joking. Labour was short as well,5 hours and just three pushes…my baby was out. Even the episiotomy I had was painless…I didn’t even feel the doctor stitching it. It was a supernatural childbirth,no cap! 🙌🏽

I’m a Nurse and I have seen people had very easy labour and delivery. There was a patient I once nursed, she came to the hospital draining and contracting o but was not experiencing any pain while contracting, we even felt the contraction was not adequate we had to put up oxytocin infusion, despite the whole oxytocin thing, she was just sleeping. She even warned us not to put up the infusion dat she might deliver within 15min of the infusion and it happened exactly that way, she only felt pain when the baby was about coming out. All of us were shocked, no analgesic or whatsoever. Indeed she delivered like that of the Hebrew women.

I had heard alot or horror stories so I was praying for a better experience. My friend gave me a copy of the book Supernatural Childbirth. So I really wanted fast and painless. I saw the show of blood on Friday morning after having sex😂. No mucus and my water didn’t break so I stayed home. I started feeling contractions in the evening. They felt like menstrual cramps so I didn’t go to the hospital. And I slept through the night. I was timing the intervals on my phone when I could. On Saturday morning the contractions still had the same intensity and interval time so I still stayed home. They weren’t painful per se just uncomfortable. At about 12pm on Saturday, I called my Dr. And he told me to come to the hospital. I told my husband to shave me, I ate Amala😂, prepared food to take along, took a bath and went to the hospital. I got there at 3pm. When I got there, I told the nurse “I believe I’m in Labour”. She side eyed me and directed me to the observation room.

When she came in to examine me, she made a joke about me not been in Labour since I still had time to wear panties 😂. I saw her face change as her hand slid in. She surprisingly told me I was in Labour. I was admitted. From then till 7pm, I was gisting with my husband, laughing, I still ate again before I delivered (the contractions made me very hungry). But sisters, all fun and games ended at 7pm. Contractions became very intense and closer together. I was no longer smiling. I even smacked my husband’s hands off my back when he was rubbing it. The pain was bearable up on till the point I felt like pushing and the nurses told not to push. I think I would have delivered earlier but the nurses didn’t believe me because at 7pm they checked and I was 7cm dilated, 30 minutes later, I said I was ready to push. They didn’t check me, and because it was my first, I didn’t know to ask to be checked….I tried not to push but with each contraction, it was harder and more painful.

At a point I was tired of lying one side so I turned, my bum was now facing the door. The nurse taking over night duty came in to check me and saw my baby’s head. She told me to keep my legs together and lifted me from my bed to the labour room just next door and with one push, my baby was out at about 9pm. I just thank God everything went well. Afterwards, I was hearing plenty story that my baby could have suffocated, be in distress, etc. Thank God for that nurse❤️. She helped me with breastfeeding too. And was nice and patient. I left the next morning, I was home by 10am. My daughter will be 1 on Sunday 💃💃💃

All my three kids,labour and delivery was like eating cake..so smooth and I give all the glory to God.
With my 1st from labour to delivery was just 4hrs and the things I did that day was cooking when it started tho I had started seeing water leaking as of 1week b4 there was no pain.tho I had bleeding after that but it was put under control
With my 2nd I just woke up that morning by 6am and the pains set in got to the hospital and after 2hrs my babygirl landed🥰.
With my smallie now her own came at midnight as I was about going to bed was not even ready for as I was thinking she will come at 40weeks like her siblings but she came 2weeks earlier and I was still packing my hospital bag well I managed to get one and two and we headed to the hospital on getting there was already 10cm dilated was just sent straight to pushing when ever I feel pain,hers didn’t even take up to 2hrs would have even given birth in the car if we had wasted time.i thank God for all my supernatural births😩🙏🏿

My gynecologist and anesthesiologist gave me a pep talk too.
By 9am I was in the theater, then I was given my epidural (zero pain, and I have never had any pain in my back afterwards too). Then the operation begun immediately they confirmed I wasn’t feeling pain.

I don’t know how long it too, but maybe 30-45 minutes and my baby was out and all. I was taken to recovery and didn’t feel any pain till evening after my epidural started wearing off.

Though I’ve not gotten pregnant before,but my mom always share my birth story every year around my birthday,she said she was home that day around 4pm or there about,her water broke then she called my Dad to come take her to the hospital,so after he took her bags to the hospital, before he got back she felt like urinating,but my elder sister (was much younger then) told her to use her pole instead,so as she bent down to urinate,boom I came out and landed on the floor,my elder sister was shouting that her mommy has given birth to a dog (she was much younger and didn’t know how a new born baby looked like,then a neighbor that was a matron came and cleaned me up 😂😂
