Wedding is September ‘22…I’m buying our traditional material, then I’m paying for my shoes and my other accessories, then paid for my makeup and hair stylist.
Budget is around 8m or more for about 300 guests
He’s handling every other thing that I didn’t list.

It was in July 2020, We opened PiggyVest & saved 1k each everyday from jan1 to June1, that was 302k from both sides, it covered everything me and my husband needed personally, with small parlor decoration expenses, not an elaborate wedding, my sister in-law in a baker so she did our traditional wedding cake for free, our parents covered foods & drinks and that was all, no reception no paparazzi

My outfit, makeup. Let me just say 1%( that’s for my outfit, makeup. And other miscellaneous for my personal self). My family contributed like 73% ad he did the 28%. My dad was against us having a lowkey wedding. My dad is an ijebu man, he loves party. Infact it was my mother-in-law that bought me bouquet because I said I don’t see the need for it so I am not buying. My husband family cooked separately so most of his contribution was for his family food preparation and the normal traditional requirements.

1yr of prep time, custom made my own dress, I paid for my hair&makeup & took care of all the bridesmaids makeup. $90K was his budget but hubby ended up spending more. No contribution from his family or mine. The wedding was a dream. Year: 2022

Me and my husband had an understanding and we decided that I will sort anything that consign me, while he sort every other things out. So I paid for my dress, hair, makeup, shoe and accessories

I wasn’t made for the soft life sha🥹 it’s like my own last born come suffer cos my husband and I with his family did 99% of everything. Everybody from my side was all about ‘no money’. One of my sisters made all my outfits and I’m grateful. Others did little they could too and that day was the day I wished my dad was alive😭😭😭😭

Still contributing 😆 🤣 (wedding is in 3 weeks). Paid for my outfits and contributed about 50%. I’m the first child, no awoof siblings money. Instead, siblings will task you join 🙄😒🤦‍♀️

Well I know hubby could handle the whole budget without assistance but I wanted to be part of it too, so that in the future I won’t hear stories like “I handled the whole wedding budget on my own without assistance”…lol
Our budget was for 200 guests, 5.5M for all and I contributed 1.5M asides the small small stuffs I took care of on my own because my family didn’t have enough to contribute much at all…wedding was in 2021…

I was the planner. Didn’t contribute anything hubby spent about 800k (wedding ring and our outfit). My mum 60percent and my grandma 39.5percent and my dad 0.5percent Total of about 7million

In my own family, no matter how rich you and your husband are, it’s the parent/family duty to sponsor your wedding in an elaborate manner. Your money should be kept for starting a family . They buy everything you can think of they help them furnish the house and even pay for a year rent( except if they own a house)

It was a mini party of just 50 guess costing 4m my husband paid 3m and my bro gave 1m. Ordinary 150k wey I use do BBQ was retrieve from money I was spray.

I am planning my wedding at the moment but lowest key. My babe is telling me he’s fit to support financially. Sincerely, what I can only afford is my wedding dress, trad outfit, hairstylist, MUA and for Mom’s outfit too. As my dad’s late, I’m the one taking care of my Mom. The last child and only female. My two elder bro are managing. I am not a fan of my babe doing everything. I just want few member of his family and mine. But Uncle is doing like Vandam, assuring he can finance everything because I worth it but mi o fè. 🥺😔 These bothers me alot.

I’m a lastborn and I’m getting married in 2 months, I’ve not spent a dime of my money, hubby, my parents, siblings, uncles and aunties have each picked up one responsibility or the order… Just sitting and enjoying last born benefits 😂😂

Seriously I will really needs to seat down and do calculation, but I contributed very well, Cox I’m the first daughter nobody supported me and my husband only us and God. His family insisted we shift the wedding but my husband stood his ground Cox they did not want the wedding to hold . We did our best and thank God it’s was awesome even though is not what I always wanted, but with God 5years anniversary we will do something better

I don’t even know but I paid for my hair, makeup, bridesmaids dresses and other things maybe spent around £4k my parent paid for food and their clothes same with his parents but our budget was £25k we had people come through with drinks which we didn’t even pay anything for and then me and hubby contributed to wedding pot every month.

Simply. We hot married in 2011. Hubby financed the trad in Nigeria and i financed the white wedding. He had only been in the UK for 2 months and was on a fiance visa so he could not work. 11 years later we both contribute towards our monthly bills.
