We honestly can’t argue about the fact that K-dramas have the best love stories in the history of romance movies, let’s just leave it for them. While we might know who would end up with who at the end, the cheesy romance and unique background stories always got us glued to our screens and up all night until the end.
Since we are having a Korean themed week at MsAsoebi, we decided to share with you some Kdramas to see soon if you haven’t. So, whether you’re dipping your toes into the genre for the first time or are a Kdrama lover, I’ve compiled a list of 10 Korean dramas on Netflix you should add to your watchlist. 1. Business Proposal

Genre: Romantic Comedy
Shin Ha Ri is a single woman that works for a company run by Kang Tae Moo. She had always had a crush on her male friend and after finding out he had someone else, she was sad and decided to meet her friend, Jin Young- Seo, a daughter of a rich man.
Jin Young Seo’s dad had planned a blind date for her and her being uninterested, she planned with Ha Ri to go in her place and ruin the date so the man wouldn’t be interested in her (Young Seo).
Guess who the blind date was? Kang Tae Moo, her boss! And he definitely got interested in her. How would she play Ha Ri at work and Young Seo on dates? How would it all play out? You should find out.

2. Mine

Genre: Thriller, Mystery, Drama
It’s a story of women who try to find their true selves, while freeing themselves from prejudices in the world.
Seo Hi-Soo (Lee Bo-Young) was a star actress, but she gave up her career to marry the second son of a conglomerate that runs the Hyowon Group. She does her best to fit in as a daughter-in-law of that family while acting confidently all the time so as not to lose her true self.
Jung Seo-Hyun (Kim Seo-Hyung) is married to the first son of the same rich family. She is also the daughter of a rich family, very elegant and intelligent. While stuck in a wealth-clad life of secrets and lies, the two women in the conglomerate family seek to topple all that stands in their way of finding true joy.
3. Vincenzo

Genre: Crime
At the age of 8, Park Joo-Hyeong went to Italy after he was adopted. He is now an adult and has the name of Vincenzo Cassano (Song Joong-Ki). He is a lawyer, who works for the Mafia as a consigliere. Because of a war between mafia groups, he flees to South Korea.
In South Korea, he gets involved with Lawyer Hong Cha-Young (Jeon Yeo-Bin). She is the type of attorney who will do anything to win a case. Vincenzo Cassano falls in love with her. He also achieves social justice in his own way.

4. So I married an anti fan

Genre: Romantic Comedy
Celebrity Hoo Joon (Choi Tae Joon) meets his match in a magazine reporter Lee Geun Young (Choi Sooyoung) at the opening ceremony of a new nightclub. After witnessing his rude behavior and accidentally throwing up on him, Geun Young gets fired from her job.
Outraged, she assumed Hoo Joon made her lose her job, she went to protest at his agency, the news broke out and everyone started referring to her as “the Anti fan”.
His management, seeing a chance to make money off what was going on, decided to make a reality TV show involving both of them acting as a couple, hence the title “So, I married an anti fan”. Geun Young due to her financial situation reluctantly accepted and of course you know, the beginning of their love story… Find out what happens next in the movie.
5. The King: Eternal Monarch

In 1994, the Kingdom of Corea encountered severe upheaval. The King (Kwon Yool) is murdered by his brother Lee Lim (Lee Jung-Jin) and the King’s son Lee Gon (Jeong Hyun-Jun) is stabbed in the neck, but he survives. The murderous Lee Lim seeks to possess the Manpasikjeok, which is legendary flute that holds supernatural powers. After a mysterious figure appears with a gun, Lee Lim slips away with only half of the now broken flute. The young Lee Gon holds onto a police badge he grabbed from the mysterious figure. The next day, Lee Goon is appointed the next ruler of the Kingdom of Corea.
25 years later, in the autumn of 2019, King Lee Gon (Lee Min-Ho) governs the Kingdom of Corea as its benevolent leader. He is still haunted by what happened when he was a child and the mystery behind the police badge left by his savior. The police badge he held was issued on November 11, 2019 for Lieutenant Jeong Tae-Eul.
Autumn 2019, in the Republic of Korea, Jeong Tae-Eul (Kim Go-Eun) is a detective in the Violent Crimes Division at the Seoul Jongo Police Station. She is working undercover to takedown the operator of an illegal online gambling operation.
Meanwhile, in the Kingdom of Corea, King Lee Gon chases after someone that is dressed like a rabbit with a clock. King Lee Gon has a feeling that the person dressed like a rabbit may be his mysterious savior from 25 years earlier. King Lee Gon mounts his horse Maximus and enters the forest. Soon, he crosses over from the Kingdom of Corea into the parallel world of the Republic of Korea. King Lee Gon finally meets Detective Jeong Tae-Eul.

6. Extraordinary Attorney Woo

Genre: Legal Drama
Woo Young-Woo (Park Eun-Bin) is extremely smart and she also has autism spectrum disorder. She never forgets what she sees, but she lacks social skills and empathy.
Woo Young-Woo begins to work as a trainee lawyer at a large law firm. While working there, she faces prejudice and irrationality against her, but she solves cases with her own unique perspective and grows as a lawyer… How would she navigate life and find love? You should check it out!

7. Alchemy of Souls

Genre: Romance, Action, Fantasy
The fate of these people become twisted due to “hwanhonsool” (the soul of the dead return to the living).
In the country of Daeho, Jang Uk (Lee Jae-Wook) comes from the noble Jang family. He holds an unpleasant secret about his birth, which people all around the country talk about. He is a troublemaker. Jang Ukk happens to meet Mu-Deok (Jung So-Min). She is an elite warrior, but her soul is trapped in a physically weak body. She becomes Jang Wook’s servant, but she also secretly teaches him how to fight.
Seo Yul (Minhyun) comes from the noble Seo family. He seems perfect with good appearance, intelligence, and strong martial arts skills. Go Won (Shin Seung-Ho) is the crown prince of Daeho. He hopes to become a generous king.

8. Law School

If you enjoyed “How to get away with murder”, you should love this! A professor at a prestigious law school and his students get involved in an unprecedented case.
Yang Jong-Hoon (Kim Myung-Min) is a former prosecutor. He is now a professor at a prestigious law school. He is straightforward and tends to unleash biting remarks. Students don’t like him because of this, but Yang Jong-Hoon does not care what his students think of him. He is focused on cultivating personnel for the law field, members who will be able to contribute meaningfully. Professor Kim Eun-Sook (Lee Jung-Eun) is his only colleague that he can speak openly with.
Kang Sol (Ryoo Hye-Young) and Han Joon-Hwi (Kim Beom) are first year law school students. Kang Sol barely got into law school. She comes from a poor family background. At school, she is surrounded by students who are smart and come from wealthy backgrounds. She feels insecure and even shameful due to her background. Kang Sol slowly learns about the true legal profession. Han Joon-Hwi is at the top among first year law school students. He is an attractive young man with leadership qualities, but he has a secret.

Koo Chan-Sung (Yeo Jin-Goo) worked as the youngest assistant manager ever at a multinational hotel corporation. He is a sincere perfectionist. He looks level-headed, but he actually has a soft disposition. Due to an unexpected case, he begins to work as a manager at Hotel del Luna. 10. Flower of Evil

Genre: Romance, Crime, Thriller, Mystery
Flower of Evil is a suspense melodrama about a man who hides his cruel past and changes his identity, while his detective wife tracks down his past.
